Recent Technology in Filmmaking

1. Virtual Production using LED Walls

It replaces green screens with LED walls, producing all the digital environments in real time. Films like Brahmāstra and Kalki 2898 AD have extended their imagination into the really future or mythic worlds by employing such technology in the shooting. With Unreal Engine, these sets respond to cameras moving, achieving the live action blend seamlessly with each other through the CGI system, time and money in production saving.

2. AI in Filmmaking

Scriptwriting Assistance - AI tools analyze scripts and suggest changes and predict how an audience would react.

Deepfake & Deaging - AI creates younger images of actors or resurrects late legends.

Editor Automation - With AI speeding up to something, the process of editing will be faster-organizing footage and determining crucial events.

3. 8K Cameras & Drone Cinematography

Drones have replaced helicopters to bring dynamic and breathtaking scenes that now cost a fraction compared with aerial cinematrophy. These high-resolution cameras, including RED Komodo, ARRI Alexa 65, and Sony Venice, capture images in stunning detail with their depth of color. Movies such as Baahubali or RRR used breath-taking drone technology for an epic battle sequence.

4. Motion Capture & CGI

Although usually some-what or mostly, these combined files have something like facial recognition or full performance measurement, such as Motion Capture (MoCap). Some Indian movies like 2.0, Adipurush, and Kochadaiiyan have tried this technology to give life-like digital characters and creatures.
